Avoid applying lotions, oils, or other moisturizing products immediately before application. Your nails should be clean and dry so the adhesive can properly contact the natural nail. Taking a few extra minutes to prepare your nails can make the application more comfortable and consistent. 

Step 2: Find the Correct Nail Sizes 

Next, match each digital acrylic nail to the corresponding natural nail. The Starter Kit includes multiple sizes, allowing you to find the best fit for each finger rather than using the same size throughout your manicure.  

The ideal nail should fit comfortably across your natural nail without sitting heavily on the surrounding skin. If a nail is too narrow, too wide, or does not align properly, choose another size from the kit. Correct sizing is especially important because iPolish nails should not be cut, filed, or altered, as doing so can interfere with the digital display. 

Take Your Time with Sizing 

It may be helpful to arrange the selected nails in order before applying any adhesive. This allows you to check the fit of all ten nails and makes the application process more organized.  

Because the nails contain digital components, do not treat them like ordinary acrylic tips that can be reshaped. iPolish specifically advises against cutting, filing, or piercing the nails, as this can cause the display to stop working. 

Step 3: Apply the iPolish Hyper Glue

Step 5: Add the Top Coat if Desired 

iPolish nails are already polished and designed with a shine, so the included Quick Dry Clear Top Coat is optional, not required. If you prefer additional gloss, you can apply the provided top coat according to the product directions.  

The top coat can provide an additional glossy finish while allowing you to customize the appearance of your manicure. Keep the application neat and avoid interfering with the tip area that needs to interact with the Magic Wand. 

Step 6: Activate Your Digital Nail Colors 

Once your nails are applied, the digital aspect of the iPolish system comes into play. Download the iPolish app and use the QR activation code included with your nail set to activate access to the available color options. 

The current system provides access to more than 300 colors, allowing you to change your manicure without removing the nails or applying traditional polish. The Magic Wand connects with the app and transfers the selected color to the digital display inside each compatible nail.  

How Do You Change the Color? 

When you want to switch shades, select your preferred color in the iPolish app and use the Magic Wand as directed. The tip of each nail is gently inserted into the appropriate area of the wand so the contacts can activate the selected color. 

Make sure the nail is centered between the guidelines when using the Magic Wand. iPolish notes that smaller nail sizes may require particularly careful positioning. The contacts connect properly, but you should never need to use excessive force or experience discomfort.   

How to Care for Digital Acrylic Nails
